>> Rachel: Hey there, are you ready for more Chompers? Your morning and night toothbrushing show.
>> Kids: Yay!
>> Rachel: Good. Because here we are! Back with more Sounds.
But first, start brushing on the top of your mouth, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!
>> Rachel: Tonight we're playing What’s That Sound. We’ll play a sound for you, and you have to guess what it is.
Here’s your first one:
(SFX boat horn)
Whoa! What was that? Here’s it is one more time:
(SFX boat horn)
So what’s that sound? Shout it out.
(pause)
>> GROUP: A boat horn!
>> Rachel: Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush all the way to the back.
Boats have special horns they use to communicate with each other. Different honks mean different things. This helps them travel safely and avoid accidents.
(SFX boat dialogue: One short blast, then five short, rapid blasts)
Let’s ask our boat translator what these boats are saying to each other.
>> Jasmine: So, the first boat said: “I want to pass you on my left side!” And the second boat said: “I don’t understand you!”
(SFX laughs)
Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too.
Here’s your next sound:
SFX: WeeWooWeeWoo
What was that? Here it is one more time:
SFX: WeeWooWeeWoo
So what’s that sound? Shout it out.
(3 second pause)
>> GROUP: A fire truck siren
>> Rachel: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard.
Fire trucks have to get to where they’re going as soon as possible. They use their sirens to alert other people that they’re on the way. When you hear a siren getting closer, you should stay on the sidewalk even if it’s your turn to cross the road. If you’re in a car, your grown up might have to pull over to the side to let the fire truck shoot past. (SFX siren going away)
That’s it for Chompers tonight, make sure you
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
