AND! Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth! Make sure you’re making circles that brush all the way over the OUTSIDE and INSIDE and the chewing part of your teeth!
The answer to our quiz is …. Cotton candy! (SFX TADA!)
A dentist named William Morrison created Cotton candy in 1897. That’s a long time ago --- before the OLDEST GROWNUP YOU KNOW was born! William was a dentist but he LOVED sweet treats.
Keep that toothbrushing moving. It’s time to brush the bottom of your mouth. Pick a side of your mouth and keep going.
William teamed up with a friend and they created the “electric candy machine.” (SFX BLEEPS AND BOOPS or FACTORY MACHINE SOUND)
The machine spun melted sugar, and pushed it through tiny holes until it was puffy and fluffy and full of air (SFX POOF POOF POOF)
William and his friend shared their invention with the world at a big fair … called the WORLD’S FAIR! (SFX CARNIVAL NOISES).
It’s time to switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth. And make those brush circles over each tooth.
Cotton Candy was originally a light, white color and only had one ingredient: SUGAR! Now you can get cotton candy in a rainbow of colors and flavors. You can get chocolate Cotton Candy, cinnamon Cotton Candy, and BACON Cotton Candy.
Great job brushing! You’re all done for today! See you tomorrow morning for more Chompers, and until then…
