>> Rachel: Are you ready for another snack attack?
>> KID: YES!
>> Rachel: Welcome back to Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.
Start brushing on the top of your mouth. Pick a side, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.
>> Kids: 3, 2, 1 brush!
>> Rachel: It’s Snacks Week and tonight we're back with a second serving of riddles.
Here’s your first one:
Peel a bunch of apples
Boil them in a pot
Puree them in a blender
To make a sauce that hits the spot
What snack is this?
>> GROUP: Applesauce
>> Rachel: Apple sauce? More like awesome sauce!
Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the molars in the way back.
In the United States, the best time to visit an apple farm is during Fall. That’s when the trees are full of ripe apples and you can pick the apples right of the trees yourself! (SFX COOL)
The state of Washington grows so many apples during the year, that if you lined up all of its apples, the line would wrap around the Earth 29 times! (SFX: WOW)
Can you imagine how much apple sauce you can make with all those apples?? (YUM)
Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush those front teeth too.
Here’s another riddle:
A moon-shaped pastry
A fluffy, buttery treat
Eat it over a plate though
Since it flakes apart as you eat
What snack is this?
>> GROUP: A croissant
>> Rachel: A croissant is a pastry -- so it’s baked in the oven like muffins, scones, and biscuits.
Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard.
Here’s one last riddle before you go:
A white, round oval
Laid by a chicken
Boil it in hot water
In a pot from your kitchen
What snack am I talking about?
>> GROUP: A hardboiled egg!
>> Rachel: You don’t need much to make a hardboiled egg. Just a grown-up to help you, a pot of water, and an egg!
That’s it for Chompers. You did an EGG-cellent job brushing. Now all you have to do is,
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!!
