>> Rachel: Welcome back! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Money Week, and tonight we’ve got more I Spies for you. We’ll describe something that has to do with money and you get to guess what it is!

Here’s your first one:

Oh man the ice cream truck is coming! (SFX ICE CREAM TRUCK) So I run to my grownup and ask for a dollar to buy a popsicle!  My grownup reaches into their pocket and pulls out something shaped like a rectangle.  Inside they’ve got all of their credit cards and dollar bills.

What do I spy? I’ll tell you after you Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth and keep brushing.

So what do I spy?

>> GROUP: A WALLET

>> Rachel: A wallet is where a grownup might keep their money and their important cards.  It’s a good way to keep track of everything. You can also keep your money in a billfold, a money clip, or in a purse.  But remember, wherever people are keeping their money, that money belongs to them! It’s not ok to take money without asking first.

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush the molars in the way back

Here’s one last I Spy:

My grownup is being awesome today and gives me money for ice cream! I run to the truck and pick out a popsicle.  I hand my money to the truck driver and then they give me my popsicle … and some more money! (SFX)  Wait a minute, what’s going on here? Why would I get money back? What do I spy?

>> GROUP: CHANGE!

>> Rachel: Change.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don't brush too hard

If you’re using bills or coins to buy something you might get CHANGE. So for example, if you have a five dollar bill, and buy a popsicle for one dollar, your change would be four dollars. You know, because 5 take away 1 is 4. You can also get change in paper money, or in coins. So if your change is 4 dollars, you could get 4 dollar bills, or 16 quarters! (SFX COINS)

That's it for chompers tonight, but come back tomorrow for more money -- but no problems! Until then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
