[THEME SONG BEGINS]
>>RACHEL: Welcome back. It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show. Its Interviews Week, and tonight our friend Jasmine has more answers to YOUR questions for NASA Astronaut, Victor Glover. Jasmine let’s go!
>>JASMINE: Thanks! Start brushing on the top of your mouth one one side, and make sure to brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth. Now count us off Victor!
>>VICTOR: 3, 2. 1 Brush!
[THEME SONG ENDS]
>>JASMINE: Elise asked what does it feel like to be in zero gravity or, what does it feel like floating in space?
>>VICTOR: What it feels like is if you've ever been in the car in the backseat and your parents drove over a bump like a railroad track or a small hill and you didn't know it was coming and you got that light feeling in your stomach. That's what it feels like but it lasts for a really long time and it's cool because you can float like Superman or like Supergirl. It’s really neat.
>>JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard.
>>JASMINE: Daphne, who is 9 would like to know: how far away is the closest Star (besides the sun)?
>>VICTOR: Well the closest star to us outside of our solar system is Alpha Centauri. I believe it's four and a half light years away. So that's really far. That means if we could travel at the speed of light it would still take us four years to get there
>>JASMINE: Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and keep on brushing!
>>JASMINE: This question is from Idris and he asked How do astronauts go to the bathroom in space.
>>VICTOR: Idris, astronauts go to the bathroom very carefully. So you don't have gravity which if you think about it it helps a lot when you're trying to use the bathroom. So we have something that's roughly a combination of your bathroom that you're used to minus the water. Plus a vacuum and the rest I'm going to leave up to your imagination! (Laughter)
>>JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and make sure to reach the molars in the way back.
>>JASMINE: This one comes from Asension who is 7 and Miguel who's 5. And they asked Are we the only people in the universe and are aliens real.
>>VICTOR: We have not found life anywhere other than Earth. The vast majority of space is just that empty space that will not support life. And so for us to be alive here on this little teeny rock floating around it is a really special thing. because we have not been able to find it anywhere else.

>>JASMINE: That’s it for chompers today, a great big thank you to Astronaut Victor Glover and to NASA. Great job brushing, all you have to do now is:
>>VICTOR: 3, 2, 1 SPIT!
