>> RACHEL: Good morning! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.
It’s Musicians Week. And in today’s episode we’re going to hear from musicians from around the world.
But first start brushing on the top of your mouth. Pick a side, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth. And make sure you listen for the bells...

>> REBECCA: Hi! My name is Rebecca Young. I play viola with the NY Philharmonic.

>> REBECCA: And I am the host of the NY Philharmonic’s Very Young People’s Concerts. My favorite thing about being a musician is I get to run around the stage–sometimes I tap dance, sometimes I sing. I get to do all sorts of silly things. It’s just a whole lot of fun!

What I like about being a musician is it’s a great way to make friends, especially if you’ve just moved or changed schools and you’re kind of the new kid in town. One thing musicians always need is other people to play with.
>> DIANA: My name is Diana Oh, and I am a singer, I write a lot of songs, sometimes the inspiration hits at 4 in the morning, and I shoot up awake, and I get it all out of me. And it usually starts with a melody, and then I fit it to some chords. And then bada bing bada boom, a song is born.
