>> RACHEL: Good morning! it’s time for Chompers! Your morning and night toothbrushing show
Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!
>> RACHEL: It’s Feelings Week, and today we're playing What’s That Sound. We’ll play a sound and you have to guess FEELING it goes with.
Here’s your first one:
(SFX cartoonish scream)
What was that? Here it is one more time:
(SFX cartoonish scream)
So what’s that sound about? How does this person feel? Shout it out.
>> GROUP: Terrified!
>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush all the way to the back.
Feeling terrified is like getting a strong shock. (SFX hit) This feeling can come when we see or hear something REALLY scary. Like when someone jumps out at you from behind a door (SFX surprise / scream)
Some people LIKE feeling scared - they might ride a roller coaster or go to a haunted house (SFX ghost) just so they can feel terrified! (SFX cartoon scream) But other people don't like it all at, not one bit!
Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and brush your front teeth, too.
Here’s your next sound:
SFX: LAUGH
What was that? Here it is one more time:
SFX: LAUGH
So what’s that sound about? How does this person feel? Shout it out.
>> GROUP: JOYFUL!
>> RACHEL: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard.
Feeling joyful is feeling like we’re full of joy! It’s a happy feeling, but it’s even more than being happy. Feeling joy sometimes makes us laugh (SFX) and often makes us smile. When we’re joyful, we might feel like our body is light and flying! (SFX)
You’re all done brushing for today. Come back tonight for more What's That Sound. Until then
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
