>> Rachel: You guys know about some AMAZING ANIMALS, so today for chompions Week, we’ve got more of your favorite weird, wacky animals!
Our first animal comes from Josie, Olivia and Robbie, and it’s the LIGER (SFX ROAR).
Yes, a Liger is a REAL animal. It’s a cross between a male Lion and a female Tiger. But don’t get it confused with a Tigon, a cross between a FEMALE lion, and a male Tiger.
Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth (SFX), and make sure to reach the molars all the way in the back.
Our next wacky animal comes from Finn and it’s the Tardigrade. (SFX HUH??) A tardigrade, also known as a water bear, is a tiny, microscopic animal. That means you need a microscope to see it. It’s that small! Finn likes this animal because it is all blobby and it has a weird face. At Chompers we like it because it’s one of the only animals that can be found in some of the most extreme places. From the freezing tops of mountains (SFX FREEZING) to the depths of the ocean (SFX SONAR BOOP)
Switch to the bottom of your mouth (SFX), and keep brushing!
Our next wacky animal comes from Ellie and Henry and it’s a Chompers favorite (SFX CHOMP CHOMP) It’s the CROCODILE! Crocs are known for their giant grinning mouths full of sharp teeth. Crocodiles can have up to 100 teeth, depending on the type and size, but don’t expect to see them using those chompers to chew their food. Crocodile teeth are just for biting, since they swallow their food whole, in big chunks. (SFX GULP/SWALLOW)
Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth (SFX), and make sure to brush those front teeth too.
You’re almost done for today, but before you go, we have a question for you here’s one more amazing animal from Devlin - the Komodo Dragon. You might have heard that dragons aren’t real, but this one is! And just like a dragon from a story, a komodo dragon is BIG! It’s the biggest type of lizard … longer than a BICYCLE!
Komodo dragons have bad eyesight … so if they’re hungry, they stick out their tongues to “taste” the air … and see if anything tasty is nearby!
Great job brushing, and make sure you rinse before you...
