WHAT’S THAT SOUND ™

(Beetle sounds)

>> Rachel: Whoa, what is that? Here it is again:

(Beetle sounds)

>> Rachel: So what's that sound?

Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush in little circles around each tooth.

(Switch Bell)

>> Rachel: That sound was…

>> Group: A long horned beetle!

>> Rachel: Long horned beetles don't actually have long horns, they have long antennae! Antennas are the little wiggly things that most bugs have on their heads, and Bugs use their antennae in lots of different ways. Antennas can be used for hearing, tasting, smelling, and even to tell how hot or cold things are.

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and brush all the way around each tooth.

(Switch Bell)

>> Rachel: Here’s your next bug sound:

>> Rachel: Did you guess it? Here it is again:

>> Rachel: So what’s that bug?!

>> Group: A honey Bee!

Honey bees are the bugs responsible for making delicious honey!

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and brush the molars in the way back.

(Switch Bell)

>> Rachel: Bee colonies have three different types of bees: Worker bees, drone bees, and one queen bee. The queen bee is the boss of the hive. All of the other bees follow her instructions, and work to feed and protect her. She is important because she lays all the eggs for colony, eggs that will grow into the next generation of bees

>> Rachel: That’s it for Chompers tonight, until next time…

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1 spit!
